National Law Enforcement Museum launches podcast series on law enforcement think tanks

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) on April 28 announced the launch of a new podcast series titled Law Enforcement Think Tanks: Shaping the Future of Policing. The series is hosted by Thomas Canavan, executive director of the National Law Enforcement Museum. Through interviews with scholars, practitioners and policy leaders, the podcast explores how law enforcement think tanks and academic centers contribute to shaping modern policing strategy and public safety policy.
Featured guests include representatives from The Curve, the Miller Center on Policing and Community Resilience at Rutgers University, the Center for Public Safety and Justice at the University of Virginia, the Future Policing Institute and the Center on Innovations in Community Safety at Georgetown University. Each episode offers a unique perspective on trends, challenges and forward-looking strategies in the field of law enforcement.
“Our goal is to provide listeners with access to informed perspectives on the policies and research that influence the direction of law enforcement,” Canavan said. “We hope this series supports broader understanding and continued dialogue around key public safety issues.”
Additional information about the podcast series, including where to listen and details about participants, is available on the National Law Enforcement Museum’s Public Programs page at NLEOMF.org/museum.
