Confirmed Report Gary Carlton Moore remains in custody and charged with murder in the 2nd degree.

Confirmed Report Victim Identified: Diamante Tre’veon Neal AKA Yung Dee

From NNPD:

On November 29, 2025, at approximately 10:50 a.m., NNPD responded to a report of a shooting inside a store located in Patrick Henry Mall. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at approximately 11:30 a.m.

Patrick Henry Mall is currently closed for the remainder of the day as officers investigate the scene. A suspect has been detained, and this appears to be an isolated incident resulting from an altercation between two adult males. There is no ongoing threat to the public at this time.

Victim: Diamante Neal "Yung Dee"

We're still learning about the victim in yesterday's shooting at the Patrick Henry Mall. With thousands of friends on social media, Young Dee was a popular man that, according to this Linked In page worked hard as a line cook at the very busy Chipotle restaurant located near the north entrance of the mall. CORRECTION: Diamante was employed at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard as an electrician.

Yung Dee was also a digital creator and had posted some of his work on his Facebook page. A previous student at Woodside High School in the north section of the city, Yung Dee was a huge football fan and deeply devoted to his friends and family.
