Smash-and-grab crew hits Magnificent Mile store

It’s been a while since late-night burglars have freely roamed stores along the Magnificent Mile and Oak Street. But one group of thieves sprang into action early on Thursday.
Their target was Alo, a yoga store at 717 North Michigan, where crew socks cost $32 a pair and a “performance” baseball hat will set you back $68.
An off-site security officer notified police about the break-in shortly before 4:30 a.m., reporting that their camera feed showed four men wearing ski masks and hoodies removing items from the sales floor.
Chicago police arrived quickly but found only a side door with broken glass. The burglars had already fled with the store’s merchandise. Some witnesses reported seeing a black SUV leaving the area, but CPD did not confirm whether it was connected to the burglary.
