Man Captured After Fleeing Domestic Related Stabbing

A man who fled the scene following a stabbing incident was apprehended Monday afternoon just a few miles away. Davyn Nicholas Curry, 30, has been charged with malicious assault resulting in severe injury and was booked into the Newport News City Jail.

Man Captured After Fleeing Domestic Related Stabbing

Police and paramedics were dispatched early Monday afternoon to 301 Agusta Drive in Newport News in response to reports of a stabbing. Property records indicate the home was purchased in 1993 by Denise and William Curry.

Curry is being held at the Newport News jail without bond.

  • SHOOT/STAB IN COMM OF A FELONY

Shortly after the incident, police activity was reported in the 400 block of Eastwood Drive, just north of the Agusta Drive crime scene, where Curry was ultimately taken into custody.
