Man Arrested After Inappropriately Touching Victim near Hutchison

Reston Police District- Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau have arrested an 80-year-old man after he inappropriately touched a victim walking near Hutchison.

On May 12 at 8:40 a.m., the victim reported that she was walking near the 13300 block of Hungerford Place near Hutchison when she was approached by a man. The man then grabbed her and inappropriately touched her. The victim was able to escape, and the suspect fled the area. Detectives responded to assume the investigation.

Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau, with the assistance of patrol officers, conducted a canvass of the area and identified the suspect as Ramon Herrera, 80, of Herndon.

Herrera was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center where he was charged with Abduction with Intent to Defile and Penetration of the Mouth of a Child with Lascivious Intent. He was held on no bond.

Victim specialists from our Victim Services Division have been assigned to ensure the victim receives appropriate resources and assistance.
