Additionally, our new officers bring a rich diversity of linguistic skills, speaking a total of 8 different languages: Arabic, Spanish, Hindi, Pashtu, Urdu, Punjabi, Yoruba, and Krio.
Session 88 is also in line with the FCPD 30X30 pledge, aiming to increase the representation of women in police recruit classes to 30% by the year 2030. Of the 29 new FCPD officers in this class, five are women.

Officers began training at the Fairfax County Criminal Justice Academy on November 1, 2024, and graduated today after completing a 26-week training academy. The academy consisted of basic instruction in the procedures, techniques, and principles of law enforcement, incident report writing, criminal law, traffic enforcement, and first aid. Officers also received training designed to help officers build trust and positive relationships within their communities.
After graduation, officers will be assigned to one of FCPD’s eight district stations and enter a 12-week field training period. During field training, officers will be paired with a primary and secondary Field Training Instructor (FTI) where they will be evaluated on the skills they learned in the academy.
FCPD is thrilled to welcome these exceptional individuals to our ranks. Their diverse backgrounds, skills, and experiences will undoubtedly contribute to our department’s continued excellence and the safety of our community.
