Detectives Investigating Non-Fatal Shooting in Bailey’s Crossroads
Mason Police District – Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau are investigating a non-fatal shooting that left one man hospitalized in Bailey’s Crossroads.
Yesterday at 1:02 a.m., officers responded to the 5800 block of Seminary Road in Bailey’s Crossroads for a shooting. An adult male was found suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body and was transported to a local hospital in life-threatening condition. The suspect left the scene before officers arrived.
Preliminarily, detectives believe the suspect and victim were verbally arguing outside of a business before the shooting. The suspect then discharged a firearm, hitting the victim. The suspect is described as a Black male with a skinny build, long dreadlocks, blue jeans, and a black jacket. Due to a large crowd in the area, Virginia State Police, Arlington County Police Department, and the Alexandria City Police Department responded to assist. The investigation is ongoing.
