Woman Arrested for Bank Robbery in Annandale

Mason Police District – Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau have arrested a woman after she robbed a bank in Annandale.

Yesterday, at 12:04 p.m., officers responded to a bank robbery in the 7000 block of Little River Turnpike in Annandale. A woman entered the bank and displayed a note to the teller demanding money. While no weapon was displayed, the note threatened to harm the teller if they did not comply. The suspect took cash and fled before police arrival. No one was injured.

Through their investigation, detectives identified a 2017 Honda Civic used by the suspect. Detectives responded to the registered driver’s residence and took Vicky Vien Phung, 36, of Alexandria into custody.

Phung was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with Robbery. She was held on no bond.
