Scam Alert

The police department has been receiving phone calls from individuals stating they are receiving calls from the Mechanicsburg Police Department phone number. The caller is telling the individuals they are officers from the department and they owe money for unpaid fines and/or not showing up for jury duty. These are not calls coming from the police department and they are a scam. Do not respond, make any payments, or provide identifying information. The police department would not request payments over the phone in this manner.
