File # T243580062

Details:

Since December 2024, the Riverside Sheriff's Palm Desert Station personnel have seen a rise in marijuana vape pens possessed by juvenile students in the Palm Desert area. School Resource Deputies investigated these incidents and determined Rodolfo Rodrigo Guillen, a 27-year-old resident of Coachella, was specifically selling marijuana vape pens to juveniles in the Coachella Valley.

On April 24, 2025, members of the Indian Wells Special Enforcement Team, the Palm Desert Station Special Enforcement Team, and the Business District Team, with assistance from the Regional Gang Task Force and the Coachella Valley Regional Narcotics Task Force, served a search warrant in the 84000 block of Avenida Florabunda, Coachella. Guillen was located at the residence and taken into custody without incident. Guillen was later booked into the John Benoit Detention Center for various charges,s including transporting and selling a controlled substance to minors and unlawfully selling or offering to sell cannabis to minors.

This is an ongoing investigation, and no further details are available. The Riverside County Sheriff's Office is committed to ensuring the safety of our students and school campuses.
