On Saturday, March 29, 2025, between 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., deputies assigned to the Perris Sheriff’s Station Special Enforcement Teams, California Highway Patrol, Cal Fire Police, and California Fish and Game, conducted an Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Enforcement Operation in the community of Nuevo and the nearby San Jacinto Wildlife area. During the operation, deputies, and officers towed eighteen off-road vehicles for illegally operating on a public roadway, issued eleven citations for various vehicle code violations, and recovered one stolen vehicle. Also, during the operation, Edwin Guzman, a 32-year old resident of Compton, William Viscencio, a 32-year old resident of Perris, and Kyler Hernandez, a 32-year old resident of Perris were arrested for evading law enforcement.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office is dedicated to the safety of everyone including community members driving on/off the streets. Additionally, we would like to remind our community members that operating an OHV on public street is not only illegal, but it can also be dangerous.
