Detectives Investigate Fatal Pedestrian Crash in Hutchison

Reston Police District— Detectives from our Crash Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash in Hutchison.

On February 14, at 2:55 p.m., officers responded to a crash involving a pedestrian in the area of Centreville Road and Parcher Avenue in Hutchison.

Officers determined that the driver of a 2024 Chevrolet Trax was traveling southbound on Centreville Road. The pedestrian, Norman Barazueta, 67, of no fixed address, stepped into the southbound lanes and was struck by the driver of the Chevrolet. Barazueta was transported to a local hospital in non-life-threatening condition. The driver of the Chevrolet was uninjured and remained on scene.

Norman Barazueta succumbed to his injuries sustained in the crash and was pronounced deceased 12 days later on February 26.
