Detectives Investigate Fatal Crash in Wakefield

Mason Police District – Detectives from our Crash Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that left a man dead in Wakefield.

Yesterday at 12:11 p.m., officers responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 3700 block of Prosperity Avenue in Wakefield involving a 2014 Toyota Avalon that left the roadway and struck a tree.

The driver, Dhameer Adams, 34, of Maryland, was declared deceased on the scene. Preliminarily, detectives believe speed was a factor in the crash. Detectives continue to investigate whether alcohol was a factor in the crash.
