Be Prepared Together: Join Us for Unified Response Day
Fairfax County, VA – The Fairfax County Police Department is proud to join local public safety agencies, The Arc of Northern Virginia, and the Northern Virginia Resource Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing for Unified Response Day: Bridging First Responders and All Abilities—a hands-on event aimed at building trust and understanding between first responders and individuals with disabilities or access and functional needs.

Where: Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Academy – 4600 West Ox Road, Fairfax, VA 22030
Free and open to all!
This interactive day gives attendees the opportunity to practice real-life safety scenarios—like traffic stops, fire rescues, and medical emergencies—in a low-pressure, supportive setting. It’s a chance for our officers, alongside Fire and EMS, to connect with community members, answer questions, and share valuable safety resources.
What to Expect:
- Practice realistic emergency scenarios in a calm, educational environment.
- Tour emergency vehicles, including police cars, ambulances, and fire trucks.
- Chat with officers, firefighters, and medics one-on-one.
- Learn about technology and resources that promote independence and preparedness.
- Enjoy giveaways, raffles, and more.
