WINDSOR, Colo. (April 21, 2025) — The Windsor Police Department is encouraging community members to participate in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 26.
The event provides a safe, convenient and anonymous way to dispose of unused or expired prescription medications - no questions asked.
The collection site will be located at the Windsor Police Department, 960 N. 15th St., and will operate from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is held in partnership with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and takes place at locations nationwide.
Proper disposal of prescription drugs helps prevent misuse and protects public health. Medications thrown in the trash can be retrieved and abused or illegally sold, making it essential to remove them from homes safely.
