(ABERDEEN, MD) – Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal three-vehicle crash that occurred shortly after 10 a.m. this morning in Harford County.

The driver of a Chevrolet Traverse, identified as Tyler Lingenfelter, 33, of Havre de Grace, Maryland, was pronounced deceased on the scene. Shortly after 10 a.m., troopers from the Maryland State Police Bel Air Barrack responded to the area of eastbound Churchville Road (MD-22) west of N. According to a preliminary investigation, the Traverse, operated by Lingenfelter, was traveling west, when for unknown reasons, crossed the center lines, striking the box truck. The impact of the initial crash subsequently caused the box truck to strike the Ford Transit van.
